School Application Guidelines
Note: Prepare a separate application for each project and/or artist.

To begin:

Find an Artist
If an artist already is not already involved in your project, look through the database and choose one who you’d like to work with. Contact them. Getting their input on the project early is crucial.

Most of the application form is fairly self explanatory.

Section 1: The project description
Begin by summing up your project in one or two sentences. From there, you can flush out the details both about process and product. What is the medium? What will the artist teach the students? Are there links to curriculum? What will the product be, if any, and how will it be achieved?

Section 3: Outcomes
Tell us here what you’re hoping the students and the school community may take away from the project; not the physical artwork, but the other internal resources or new ideas that may come about through the work for individuals and the whole school.

Section 5: Follow up
This might be specific, finite and directly linked to the project - like the students writing a response or research paper. Or it may be less direct, like another workshop later in the year, or a gallery visit.

PAINTS Agreement
This is your contract with PAINTS and the artist. It’s brief, but important. Please read it carefully.

Signatures/Initials
One person will inevitably be the one filling this out online. These initials indicate that the others have read and agreed to the project as it’s described in the application.
